Year 6 Adventures at Barton Hall - Day One

Sorry for this late update... what a busy day we have had!

Our journey to Devon was traffic-free and we arrived at Barton Hall an hour earlier than expected - all pleased that the long wait was over at last and that we had finally arrived at our destination.  We unloaded the coach, met our Groupie Lauren, and were shown to our new homes for the week.  Then, we had a tour of the site and played some 'getting to know you' games.  A delicious dinner followed and everyone ate plenty and cleared their plates enthusiastically!

As I'm writing this, the children are playing an exhausting orienteering game in the evening sunshine with a beautiful view of the sea - hopefully this will mean that by bedtime, they will all be ready for a long and uninterrupted sleep - I'll let you know...

Everyone has smiled and laughed lots, some children have even had a shower already, and the most challenging task so far (for some) has been to put their duvet into its cover!  I'm sure tomorrow will hold many more exciting challenges and adventures - we'll keep you posted,
