Welcome to Chaffers Class

This term in Chaffers, we are studying "Where We Live - Houses and Homes".  We are in the process of painting our own homes, but we are doing this very carefully and bit by bit, so it is taking a while!

At the start of term, we learnt "The Three Little Pigs" as a Talk to Write story.  We changed the story a little bit and wrote our own stories of "The Three Little Kittens" using the story language we had learnt from the "Three Little Pigs".  The three kittens make houses of hay, cardboard and metal, instead of straw, wood and bricks!  In DT, we have designed and are now making finger puppets for our new story, before making backdrops for our puppet theatre.  In dance, we are putting together a "Three Little Pigs" dance. We have to make three sorts of houses in groups, so we need to work together.

Before long, we will be having a look around Long Sutton, looking a building materials and styles of houses.
